Sheldon Poon has been a valued member here at ConnexionWorks since 2019. He is the
owner and operator of Drive Marketing, a Montreal-based digital marketing company. Sheldon and his business partner started off as freelance web developers but started experimenting with digital marketing when they saw a need for tech-minded marketers and realized they could fill this gap. Before long, the marketing services were earning more than web development alone, so Sheldon and his partner pivoted. Together they created a new brand around their freelancing business and Drive Marketing was born.
Sheldon discovered ConnexionWorks after his wife found a new career in Saint John, and he decided to work remotely. He struggled to find suitable places to work locally, finding coffee shops too loud and distracting, and other co-working facilities were not the right level of comfort for his needs. When Sheldon met Heather at ConnexionWorks, he discovered a facility and the community that was very welcoming, friendly, supportive, and he could work from a quiet desk space with minimal distractions
What Sheldon liked the most about ConnexionWorks was the drive and ambition of Heather and the other entrepreneurs that resided here. The business community, entrepreneurship, and mentorship aligned with Sheldon's values, and he also loved the social interactions that the shared space created.
Sheldon says, "I am very lucky to have found my place here at ConnexionWorks. I am grateful to have a team of like-minded nerds. It has been quite the journey and I am glad ConnexionWorks has been a supporting part of it."
